Getting engaged is such an exciting time it can be tempting to start booking bridal appointments immediately. Our advice is not to start shopping until you are ready. Because of the nature of bridal shopping we would always say give yourself as much time as possible. Ideally start looking 12 months before your wedding date.  However we know especially after the pandemic that this time frame is not always possible. So to give you an idea of what we can do here are some examples. 

  • Because of the intricacies involved in bridal design and manufacture all our dresses take a standard 8 months to arrive in store. 
  • We do offer a rush service for an extra fee which will allow a dress to arrive in 6 months however this is only available on certain styles. 
  • We advise that you should book 12-8 weeks for your alterations. This is to ensure you get two fitting appointments and gives the seamstress time to complete the work. 
  • We do have an ‘OTR’ (off the rack) selection of gowns that can be taken home the same day as purchase for those brides on a tight deadline. 

Yes, we want to make sure that each bride has a first class shopping experience with us. This means a personal stylist and ample time to select and try on as many designs as possible. You can book an appointment  through our online booking system.  Please note our Saturday, Wednesday and Thursday appointments fill up fast so we suggest booking in advance. 

Your appointment will take place in our showroom which can accommodate the bride and up to 3 guests. Finding your dream dress is an intimate, exciting and at times overwhelming experience. We often find that the fewer guests a bride brings to share this experience the more magical it becomes. Here at Eva Joyce we do things a bit differently when it comes to sizing. We use a letter system with no discernible pattern to it. If you were to compare to high street sizes we have from size 6-26 in store to try on. However we can order from size 0-32 in. Should you say ‘yes’ on your visit to us (and we hope you do!!!) we will require a 60% deposit on all items that need to be ordered in. This includes any bridesmaids or accessories. The remaining balance will not be required until your gown has arrived with us in store. 

If you are worried about finances please let our team know before your appointment and we can discuss our 0% interest payment plans. 

Should you select one of our OTR dresses we will require payment in full. 

Please note that we do not offer refunds or exchanges and that all sales are final. 

Because Eva Joyce believes in supporting local businesses we have chosen not to have our own in house alterations service. What we have done is research and find the most amazing local seamstresses that we are more than happy to recommend. We go through all the requirements you may need at your final fitting appointment. We can also communicate with any of these seamstresses to help you through your alterations process. 

The most important thing is for you to feel comfortable. If you have a fabulous fluorescent pink bra that makes you feel incredible then wear it! Most brides like to come in nude comfortable underwear but we say as long as you are comfy we don’t care!! Most dresses you will find don’t need you to wear a bra (some may find this scary), however all will require knickers 🙂 

Should you decide you would like to visit us (yay!!!) and have booked your appointment this is what will happen next:

1, Your stylist will contact you to confirm your appointment and to find out a little bit about you. The reason we do this is so that we can make your appointment a more personalised experience. We also find this helps answer any questions you may have and alleviate and fears or anxieties you may have. 

2, On the day you will be invited in to our entrance hall where you will be greeted by our team and we will have a chat and introduce you to us and how we work. (This usually involves cocktails and treats)

3, You will then be shown to the showroom where we will begin the selection process. 

Appointments usually last around 1hr 30mins which trust us is plenty of time to have some fun and help you find the dress of your dreams. 

Every wedding is different which means priorities on what you spend your budget on will differ bride to bride. Our designs start from £999 and currently range up to £2500.
