When I was training as a bridal assistant way back when I was 18yrs old one of the first things I learnt was it isn’t just about giving advice on “the dress”. I was taught it is about the “over all bridal look”.
This was explained to me by my mentor that during the wedding celebrations at any one moment there will be eyes on the bride (don’t panic). It is our job as stylists to ensure that she feels comfortable and radiant from all angles and at all times. One of those key moments is that first entrance when ALL eyes are on the bride. Now of course as a bridal designer I know that the dress is a huge part of this moment mainly because I want that bride to know she is perfect in every way! She said yes to the dress dreaming of that exact moment. Another big part of that moment is the bouquet (should you choose to have one).
